Dream Destination: The Islands of Santorini in Greece

I travel so much for work. I'm totally due for a vacation soon with my hubby. Santorini Islands in Greece has been on my travel destination list for sometime now. The more I hear and read about this island, I'm fascinated and want to go. This island is located in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 kilometers south-east off Greece's mainland. Did you know Santorini was formed out of the lava from the volcanic eruption in 1660BC? The Central part of the volcano sank into the sea, resulting in the formation of Santorini itself. Compared to other neighboring islands, the towns and villages in Santorini are densely populated. So much life happening here. Known for being the perfect wedding destination and romantic getaway. Well, sooner than later... I want to be enjoying the sunset on the balcony, overlooking the island, over an exquisite glass of wine with my love. Cheers everyone!
